Summary

Nepenthes latiffiana is a pitcher plant species from Peninsular Malaysia described in the year 2020. It has been published in Webbia Journal of Plant Taxonomy and Geography in the first issue, volume 75, and made as the cover page for that issue. This species was described by Mohd Norfaizal Ghazalli (Ph.D), Amin Asyraf Tamizi and Dome Nikong, and name after a retired Professor of Botany from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia - Emeritus Professor Dato' Dr. Abdul Latiff Mohamad. The description was based on materials collected from a restricted area at the type locality in Setiu, Terengganu. More on Wikipedia ›

About the genus · Nepenthes

Nepenthes is a genus of carnivorous plants, also known as tropical pitcher plants, or monkey cups, in the monotypic family Nepenthaceae. The genus includes about 170 species, and numerous natural and many cultivated hybrids. They are mostly liana-forming plants of the Old World tropics, ranging from South China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines; westward to Madagascar and the Seychelles (one); southward to Australia (four) and New Caledonia (one); and northward to India (one) and Sri Lanka (one). Cultivation

Grouped as a carnivorous plant by the genus Nepenthes, which is reliably one kind of plant (archetype table). The table holds no figure for this group, which spans too much for one minimum, and no habitat climate is derived yet; no cold floor is given, and no prose comes from the table.

Nothing derived: no habitat climate for this species, and the archetype table has no figure for its genus or family.

Climate across the habitat

No habitat climate can be derived: No georeferenced record inside the range.
